Treasure Mapping - Picture Your dreams!

"A picture is worth a thousand words."

treasure mapping Treasure mapping is the process of visualizing on paper exactly what you want. The clearer you can see your desired future as a reality, the sooner it can manifest.Images are the way the subconscious mind processes information.

This is why so many goal setting techniques suggest using visualization and cutting out pictures of what you want to help to manifest your desires and dreams. We co-create our world by the images we hold in our minds. Looking at pictures of our goals helps to keep our minds focused on what we truly want.
There are lots of different terms for this technique. John Assaraf calls it a "vision board," Joseph Murphy calls it "treasure mapping," and Catherine Ponder's phrase for it is a "wheel of fortune." It is also known as a "creative collage",  "story-boarding", or "printed visualizations".

Treasure mapping is a simple and entertaining exercise. Collect pictures from magazines and catalogues which represent your desires and goals of which you would like to achieve and attain. Paste them on a sheet of card and place it where you know you'll see it frequently. Create yourself a collage of dreams!
Remember you can use some text in the collage, but try not to overdo it. The subconscious mind operates mostly on images and feelings.

When selecting images, keep in mind that you are looking for a feeling.  The image or words should give you the "feeling" that you will feel upon manifestation.
Use affirmations too to help cement these ideals into your subconscious.
Put these words on your map: "This is mine NOW - This is who I AM"
A nice idea to make this map yours is to insert your name into it, but don't write it, cut out the letters from magazines to spell your name.
Find a photo of yourself. One that is smiling or laughing and place it in your collage.
Have fun with it...embrace the inner child within...use stickers, glitter, stencils and gel pens.

Some of these pictures can be literal things such as places you want to visit, or a car that you want. Others may be symbolic, such as a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow or a fistful of dollars to show wealth, or someone finding their way through a maze to show that you can figure out solutions to problems. If you are mapping for relationships, find pictures of how you wish to be treated in your relationship and the type of relationship that you want. The important thing is that it’s got to be meaningful for you. Then sit down and arrange your cuttings into a collage on a piece of card. Arrange them in a way that works for you. One area may represent work, another your home, another travel, and another relationships.
When you have finished treasure mapping and are happy with it, bless it in any way that you feel appropriate. A simple "Thank you for what I am about to receive" is powerful, or "I am thankful that this or something better now manifests for my highest good". Tell the universe that you are ready to receive and that you have faith it will manifest.

Put the card up where you can see it daily. In realizing goals, it’s important to have a clear mental picture of what you want, and by seeing this ‘treasure map’ daily, you imprint it upon your unconscious mind. Treasure mapping is fun. Children love creating maps. My 11year old daughter has made several maps and has manifested a wonderful dream bedroom. It is an excellent way to introduce them to the Law of Attraction and abundance.

This is an amazingly simple process to imprint important goals into your unconscious and to keep your focus on attaining them. Doing this with others helps you understand more about who they are, what they want, and why. It’s simple, and it’s fun. And it’s a delight to look at your treasure map over time and see each picture being realized. This works!
